So many times couples get bogged down in traditions and the worry of “Are we doing this right??” But I’m here to tell you that it’s your wedding and that you can do things however you want! The cake cutting is one of the times where I see this happen most, but Heidi and Gerald did the right thing. Instead of worrying about the right way to cut it or if their hands were holding the knife correctly, they just cut the cake and their personalities shone through. And I ended up with one of my favorite cake cutting images of all time.
