The Aspen trees were in peak color. I was able to take full advantage of the beautiful Colorado fall, and my bride and groom will have a great reminder of this special season in their lives.

I positioned myself close by and busied myself taking photos of anything BUT the cake so he would ignore me (works every time!) and then I turned and got one frame as soon as I saw his finger hit the icing out of the corner of my eye. I love this image because it shows a kid doing something everyone is tempted to do when they see a huge cake and I also love it because it proves that paying attention to things going on at a wedding that aren’t necessarily the main action can be really interesting and just as important as the big moments. The wedding location was crazy beautiful (a private residence in Sonoma, California ).
